Motorola P2P Technology

Bridging The Wireless IP Chasm - Delivering high-speed data from Point A to Point B has never been easier. With the Motorola Point-to-Point (PTP) wireless Ethernet bridges, enterprises, carriers, ISPs and municipalities can easily connect expansive IP networks to form a cohesive system. Delivering an outstanding ROI and superior performance, the point-to-point solutions possess exceptional interference mitigation techniques, multiple layers of security and can transmit across long distances, over water or around obstacles.

With a small form factor that’s easy to install and maintain, the Motorola point-to-point bridges can support a wide variety of demanding applications, including:

PTP 100 Series (Formerly the Canopy 10 & 20 Mbps Backhaul Modules)

Makes use of Motorola's proprietary modulation scheme to deliver high-speed bandwidth across distances of up to 35 miles (56 kilometers).

These solutions support both DES and AES for enhanced security and are uniquely suited for delivering consistent throughput in Line-of-Sight (LoS) configurations.

Available in a broad range of frequencies

2.4 Ghz Systems

5.2 Ghz Systems

5.4 Ghz Systems

5.7 Ghz Systems

PTP 4.9 Ghz Series (Licensed Public Safety Backhaul Systems)

21 and 43 Mbps aggregate Ethernet Throughputs, in 5 or 10 Mhz bandwidths

  • nLoS: Up to 6 miles (10 kilometers)

  • NLoS: Up to 25 miles (40 kilometers)

  • LoS: Up to 124 miles (200 kilometers)

  • Dynamic frequency selection, which automatically changes channels to avoid interference and combat link fading without user intervention.

  • Adaptive modulation to ensure maximum throughput optimized for the radio path even as path characteristics change.

  • Built-in security protection via a complex proprietary signal with scrambling applied

  • Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) coding to reduce fade margin regardless of obstacles in the path

PTP 400 Series (Formerly the Orthogon Gemini 30 Mbps to 60 Mbps Backhaul Modules )

Choose PTP 400 when you need connectivity for challenging near- and Non-line-of-sight environments, and medium data capcity, including deep NLoS deployments and those that span long distances and travel over water. Even in obstructed and high-interference locations, 99.999% reliability

PTP 600 Series (Formerly the Orthogon Spectra 150 Mbps to 300 Mbps Backhaul Modules )

With aggregate throughput up to 300 Mbps on a 30 MHz channel,  300% greater spectral efficiency than the nearest competitor. PTP 600 Systems are particularly well-suited for applications and networks that require high throughput and T1/E1 capability because PTP600 builds in extra features that promote greater speed and mitigate RF interference. Its T1/E1 ports mean that you can bundle circuit-switched connectivity with IP voice, video and data communications.
